Top O' the Mornin' to You

Er, rather, evening. But that takes away from the cliche and the charm.

The Infant had a big day today. Doctor's appointment, first attempt at eating cereal, AND a walk in her stroller. I got to go along also and I didn't think the humans were ever going to go back home! We walked all the way to Walker Machinery and I've never been so happy get back home and get in bed. They made me walk past three Mastiffs. Talk about intimidating! I managed to give them one semi-good bark before the humans pulled me to the other side of the street.

The cereal went pretty well today. Of course The Infant has to practice using her tongue to take things in instead of pushing things out, but for a first attempt it wasn't too bad. Check out the video here if you have about five minutes. It's probably not too interesting for most humans, but if you're bored...

The video below is a little more entertaining (if you have about 30 seconds to spare). It was filmed on Monday. Let's hope The Infant doesn't start doing this when she's eating.

At the doctor's office today, the Dr. confirmed what we already knew: The Infant is a GIANT! She is literally off the chart. Really, she is NOT on the chart. A whopping 27.25 inches. Weight-wise she's absolutely average. She couldn't be more average if she tried - 50th percentile. It turns out that her crooked crack doesn't pose a problem (except for the slicky-slide issue. Talk to Granddaddy about that one), but her uneven fat folds in her legs could. There's probably nothing wrong, but they could signal a problem with her hips. She'll go have an ultrasound on her hips on Tuesday. I'm sure she's fine, but we'll keep you posted.
